2019 Antifa Cycling into tour
7th long distance tour
England • Scotland • Ireland • Wales
3000 miles ~ 2 months
Crossing the land between the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea, starting from London and crossing the Highlands of Scotland and the wild nature of Wales, spreading the message of no borders and immigrants’ free movement regardless of where they come from. Recognizing the need of every human to seek for peace and safety in Europe, driven away by imperialistic policies emerging by “developed” countries. The "New Democracy" in Greece continues successfully the previous "leftist management" with increased security, squats evictions, new criminal law, access to health insurance by criteria, expulsion of immigrants.
On 26 of August, a repressive operation evicted 4 squats at the Exarcheia area, in Athens. 143 immigrants who were living in two of them, moved to detention centers with no provision for decent living conditions. Several attacks in solidarity places like K*VOX with tear gas and bullets throwing in crowded areas, show only a part of the government's methods to face the resistance.
They prefer to have ghost buildings, as long as the ownership status is respected, rather than having the same buildings being given life and utility by individuals and groups who do not recognize the concept of ownership as a cornerstone of society. They are also bothered by the idea that immigrants along with solidarity can take their own lives. They want immigrants as a controlled mass that serves only as cheap labor hands and anyone who does not fit in this idea is thrown in the trash.
We express our solidarity to occupied places and people who fight for them.
Remember Alexis, a 15 years old boy who was shot by the police in Exarcheia.
Refugees Welcome.
